TGI is proud to support The Danny Did Foundation at 10th Annual Danny Stanton Kickball Tournament

CHICAGO, July 25, 2019 – This weekend, The Grove, Inc. (TGI) was honored to be a community sponsor in the 10th Annual Danny Stanton Kickball Tournament.  The event was held on July 20, 2019 at Edgebrook Park in Chicago, not far from TGI’s Corporate Headquarters.  Boys and girls in grades K-8 enjoyed a day of fun and fitness with friends and family, while learning the importance of helping others.

Founded by Chicagoans Mike and Mariann Stanton after the Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) of their son Danny just before his fifth birthday, the Danny Did Foundation is dedicated in its mission to prevent deaths caused by seizures. The name of the foundation comes from the last line of Danny’s obituary, written by his dad, “Please go and enjoy your life. Danny did.”

The company strives to create a reality in which healthcare providers proactively communicate with patients and caregivers about the risk of SUDEP and other forms of mortality associated with epilepsy – to elevate awareness of, and access to, technologies that enable early intervention and added safety when a seizure occurs.  Proceeds of the annual Kickball Tournament are enabling seizure-monitoring devices for families that cannot afford them. TGI is proud to support The Danny Did Foundation.  Read more about the organization’s mission, vision, and how you can get involved at www.dannydid.org.
